Steps
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours, until chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker, allowing it to absorb more sauce.
- Serve warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or in buns as sliders. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, stir in 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the sauce. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
