Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, grind the oats into a fine flour-like consistency.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, chopped cherries, peanut butter, egg, applesauce, and cinnamon. Mix until a thick dough forms.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 0.25-inch thickness. Use small bone-shaped cookie cutters to cut out treats.
- Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and firm.
- Let the treats cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
