Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 8 slice American cheese
  • 8 slider bun mini hamburger buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 0.5 cup diced onion optional
  • 0.25 cup dill pickle chips optional
  • 2 tbsp butter melted, for brushing buns
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method

Steps
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
  3. Divide the beef into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties, slightly larger than the buns (they will shrink while cooking).
  4. Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Add a slice of cheese on top during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  5. While the patties cook, slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Lightly brush the cut sides with melted butter.
  6. Toast the buns cut-side down in a skillet or on the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden.
  7. Assemble the sliders by placing a cheesy patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with diced onion and pickles if desired, then cover with the top bun.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy these delicious mini cheeseburgers!

Notes

For extra flavor, mix 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef before forming patties. These sliders are best served fresh but can be reheated in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes.
