Steps
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
- Divide the beef into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties, slightly larger than the buns (they will shrink while cooking).
- Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Add a slice of cheese on top during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
- While the patties cook, slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Lightly brush the cut sides with melted butter.
- Toast the buns cut-side down in a skillet or on the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Assemble the sliders by placing a cheesy patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with diced onion and pickles if desired, then cover with the top bun.
- Serve immediately while warm and enjoy these delicious mini cheeseburgers!
Notes
For extra flavor, mix 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef before forming patties. These sliders are best served fresh but can be reheated in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes.
