  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 8 slice American cheese
  • 8 slider buns or small dinner rolls split horizontally
  • 0.5 cup diced onion optional, for topping
  • 0.5 cup dill pickle chips
  • 2 tbsp butter melted, for brushing buns
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
  3. Divide the beef into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties, slightly larger than the buns (they will shrink while cooking).
  4. Cook the patties in the skillet for 3–4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and browned.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover briefly to melt.
  6. While the patties cook, brush the cut sides of the slider buns with melted butter and toast them in a separate pan or under the broiler until golden.
  7. Assemble the sliders by placing a cheesy patty on the bottom half of each bun, then add pickles and diced onions if using. Top with the bun lid.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy these delicious mini cheeseburgers!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture. These sliders are great with ketchup, mustard, or special sauce. Make ahead by forming patties and storing them in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking.
