- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the pecan halves, melted butter, maple syrup, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir until the pecans are evenly coated.
- Spread the pecan mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are fragrant and the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet. The pecans will crisp up as they cool.
- Break apart any clusters and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Notes
For a spicier twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika to the glaze. These maple pecans also make a great topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream.
