Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves
  • 0.5 cup pure maple syrup
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the pecan halves, melted butter, maple syrup, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir until the pecans are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the pecan mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 18–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are fragrant and the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet. The pecans will crisp up as they cool.
  6. Break apart any clusters and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

For a spicier twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika to the glaze. These maple pecans also make a great topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream.
