Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 2 ripe avocados peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1 large orange peeled and segmented
  • 1 grapefruit peeled and segmented
  • 0.25 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro chopped
Citrus Vinaigrette
  • 3 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Method

Steps
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, lime juice, honey, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside.
  2. In a large salad bowl, combine mixed greens, avocado slices, orange segments, grapefruit segments, red onion, and cilantro.
  3. Drizzle the citrus vinaigrette over the salad and gently toss to coat all ingredients evenly.
  4. Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh, crisp texture of the avocado and citrus.

Notes

For best results, use ripe but firm avocados. To prevent browning, add the avocado just before serving. This salad pairs wonderfully with grilled chicken or fish.
