  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra peanut flavor, sprinkle a few crushed peanuts on top before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days—if they last that long!
