  • 8 pieces lemons, divided by two Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.
  • 500 ml thick cream 2 cups of thick cream.
  • 2/3 or 3/4 cup granulated sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 pieces lemon zest Zest of one lemon.
  • 8 tablespoons lemon juice Freshly squeezed juice from the lemons.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by halving the lemons and extracting their juice into a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whip the thick cream until it reaches soft peaks.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to whip the cream.
  4. Fold in the lemon juice and lemon zest gently into the whipped cream until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Dessert Crème Citron can be elegantly served with a small slice of lemon or a sprig of mint on top. Pair it with fresh berries or a light fruit salad. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
