Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and sliced into 0.5-inch wedges
  • 0.25 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Method

Steps
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each for even cooking.
  5. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples, pressing lightly to help it adhere.
  6. Air fry for 18–20 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm as a snack or dessert!

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free oats and substitute the all-purpose flour with almond flour or a gluten-free blend. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat!
