Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 cups corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup pretzel twists
  • 0.5 cup pecan halves lightly toasted
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries
Spiced Coating
  • 0.33 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Method

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine corn Chex, rice Chex, pretzel twists, and toasted pecans. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the spiced butter mixture over the Chex mixture. Gently toss until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even baking.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Stir in dried cranberries once the mix is cool to prevent sticking.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For a festive twist, add 0.5 cup of mini chocolate chips after cooling. This mix also makes a great homemade gift—package in a mason jar with a ribbon!
